Cougar Hunters Must Pass Cougar Identification Course - Feb. 02, 2011
SANTA FE - Beginning April 1, New Mexico will require all cougar hunters to successfully complete the Department of Game and Fish online cougar identification class before hunting cougars.

COUGAR MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES ADOPTED BY COMMISSION - Nov. 08, 2010
Eight cougar management zones will be managed for stable or decreased populations and cougar populations in 11 zones will be allowed to increase under a strategy adopted by the State Game Commission during its meeting Oct. 28.

BEAR, COUGAR, ANTELOPE HUNTING ON COMMISSION AGENDA - Aug. 23, 2010
The State Game Commission will hear proposals and public comments about hunting seasons and licensing rules for bears, cougars, pronghorn antelope and deer at its meeting Saturday, Aug. 28, in Albuquerque. Proposals include increased harvest limits for bears and cougars for the 2011-2014 seasons, and options to change the way the Department of Game and Fish allocates private-land pronghorn antelope licenses.
