FWP to Hold Meeting to Discuss Mountain Lion Management and Quotas in Southwest Montana - Feb. 23, 2011
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold a public meeting to discuss mountain lion management and tentative quotas for the 2011 hunting season in Region 3. The meeting is set for Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church Annex (114 E. Cedar) in Three Forks.

Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Hunting District 340 - Jan. 31, 2011
The hunting of all mountain lions in southwestern Montana hunting district 340, which include portions of Beaverhead, Madison, Jefferson and Silver Bow counties, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

Female Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Districts 404, 421, 444 & 450 - Jan. 31, 2011
The hunting of female mountain lions in Montana hunting districts 404, 421, 444 and 450, which include portions of Teton, Pondera, Chouteau, Cascade, Lewis & Clark, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

All Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Several Region 3 Hunting Districts - Dec. 22, 2010
The hunting of all mountain lions in HD's 313, 316, 335, 339, 343, 388, 390 and 391, which include portions of Lewis & Clark, Park, Carbon, Sweet Grass, Jefferson, Broadwater, Gallatin and Meagher counties will close at one-half hour after sunset on Thursday, December 23, 2010.

The deadline to purchase a mountain lion hunting license for the general season, or to apply for the special license drawing, is Aug. 31.

The hunting of all mountain lions in western Montana hunting districts 211 and 216, which includes portions of Granite and Missoula counties, will close one-half hour after sunset on Friday, March 12, 2010.
